The last time I wrote on my blog was about over a month ago. In the past few months, I have found myself extremely busy and fell short of my promises on updating about the wedding planning. Your life suddenly changes when the process of planning a wedding comes into play. However, I haven't done any planning since August and now it's going to be November. Seriously, where did the month of October go? It literally flew by quicker than I anticipated..... Besides all of the stress and ruckus in my life-- I have managed to cut down on shopping as well, but found the perfect pair of windowpane pants recently and are a total dupe of the Banana Republic Sloan that I almost ordered!
The front tie top does not sit very nicely on me because of my bust. I think this type of top looks much better on someone with a smaller bust. I was a bit sad because I don't have anything like it! One day the perfect top will come around!
The white tank is a perfect addition to my closet and for only $8 it was even more perfect! The top is perfect for tucking into pencil skirts or wearing with skinny jeans/cardigan. I definitely did not hesistate to keep it.
The burgandy stripe top looks great on the model but the fabric and quality was not worth it, even if it was only $13. I felt it did not flatter my body and the top wont last over a few wears.
The leaf skirt is definitely a keeper. It's fun, subtle, and very elegant looking. I like that fact that the fabric is soft and nice to the touch. Definitely a summer fabric, but perfect for teaching because I get super hot during lecture!
The black pants were so see through, I might as well wear stockings! lol
This camel skirt was not flattering to me, even though it was super cheap for $19 bucks. I cannot keep it because of the price. It shows every bump and hump you have on your body. It does not compare to the other loft skirts I have!
AND, the last one are the Kelly Green pants! When I received them, the hem of the pants were loose, which upset me. After trying them on and calling customer service about it, they let me return them because of the faulty item. Now I'm on a hunt for Kelly Green pants again! hmph!
I recently purchased this Loft Factory shell over the Labor Day weekend. I usually do not like to shop at Factory stores because some of the items are not worth it for the price. I really liked this top because of the color. I do not own a "rasberry" colored top. This definitely fills a void in my closet and works great for work! My initial plan was to wear it with navy or beige. Last night, I decided that mint pants would make it a fun outfit! And on the drive home after work today, I realized my outfit is Rasberry Mint! Although a rasberry mint mojito drink would definitely make this Monday much more exciting! =] What do you think? Happy Hour?? And to make the outfit a bit more fun, I added the snakeskin pumps! Man, I am totally stepping out of my comfort zone!
I've come to realize that online shopping has become a huge part of my life, especially when I know my sizing at a particular store. Sometimes things do not work out in my favor, which is fine because most likely I didn't need it!
When a store like, Ann Taylor Loft has a Flash Sale for 60% off the sales price, thats where I get completely sucked in to purchase a few items I may not need, but must have. I have been looking for Kelly Green pants for a while now and finally found a pair at Loft for 40% off before the 60% off Flash Sale and wish they honored price adjustment on sale items, but they do not. Regardless, I got a great deal on the pants. Hopefully they work out because it's final sale. Yikes!
Here are a few items I picked up during the Flash Sale
